Training for press secretaries on increasing content about Uzbekistan on Wikipedia

AIMC organized a training aimed at increasing the number and quality of information about Uzbekistan in the "Wikipedia". It was attended by Ulugbek Azamov, the Deputy director Agency of Information and Mass Communications, Kanat Abdikarimov, the Lead specialist of the Agency's PR center, as well as more than 70 heads of press-services of state and economic administration bodies, offices of republican significance, institutions and other state organizations.

The event, held in the spirit of open dialogue, began with extensive information about the Creative Commons (CC) license, which allows for the unrestricted posting of information on the Wikipedia platform from websites with CC.

It has been noted that it is important to increase the number of articles on Uzbekistan on Wikipedia and, in this regard, increasing the participation of press secretaries will yield expected outcomes.

AIMC employee Kanat Abdikarimov and project coordinators Mehrinoz Abbasova, Jamshid Nurkulov, Umarjon Rahimov, Laziz Bakhtiyorov, Asliddin Yunusov and Mukhammadkhan Yusupov provided the training participants with detailed information on posting information in the "Wikipedia". The participants made suggestions and comments and received answers to their questions.
